Broadneck Steamrolls Bowie For Week 1 Blowout, 56-6

The Broadneck football team exploded for 56 points to emphatically start the season with a dominant victory over visiting Bowie High School on September 2. Contributions came from up and down the Bruins’ roster as the Bruins totaled 330 yards of offense in the overwhelming victory. Jason Caracamo ran for 103 yards on eight carries with two touchdowns, while Tyrese Watson made the most of his three carries, totaling 42 yards and two scores. Quarterback Shane Davis twice hit receiver Ethon Williams for touchdown scores; Williams had two catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns. The Bruins saw solid defensive play from Keonte Coates, Carlos Coates, Steven Jacobs, Alexander Roland, Noah Genovese, John Bragaw and Connor Frederick, and the defense also created two scores. Both Brent Floyd and Matthew McAlister recovered fumbles and ran over 30 yards for touchdowns.

The Bruins play North County on September 8 and host Severna Park on September 15.
