Young men and women experience a time of transition that includes many endings and beginnings. When they lose a loved one, it can be difficult to find other young adults experiencing similar losses. They often will reach out through social media. Still, there is a disconnect when conversing online.

To help young adults ages 18 to 24 make that connection, Chesapeake Life Center will host “Gone Too Soon” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 26, at the Starbucks at 503 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. Co-facilitated by CLC Bereavement Counselor Joy McCrady, this “unhappy hour” will be a time to sip coffee, nosh on snacks and connect with other young adults who are grieving, whether the loss is recent or long passed.

The gathering is free. Registration is appreciated, but drop-ins are welcome. To register, call 1-888-501-7077.
