With the hopes of helping victims of Hurricane Harvey, Maryland Performing Arts Center in Severna Park has announced plans to hold a community talent show followed by a silent auction to raise money for Save the Children and the Houston Humane Society. Anyone of any age or background is invited to perform on Sunday, September 17, at a time and location to be determined and announced soon. For more information or to stay updated on details as they become available, call 410-421-8960 or visit www.marylandperformingartscenter.com.

UPDATE: Since this story was printed in the September 8 edition, Maryland Performing Arts Center has set a time and place. The fundraiser will be held out in front of MPAC's new studio at 844 Ritchie Highway (the former site of Tuesday Morning) in Severna Park. Festivities will include dancing, singing, magic shows, a DJ, food trucks, bake sales, silent auctions and much more. Funds raised will benefit not only victims of Hurricane Harvey but also victims of Hurricane Irma.
